The flavors of two cultures in every bite

A love for food has the power to unite people. In this story, it brought April, Daniel, & Uncle Sergio together. As a small family business aside from this restaurant, we travel often delivering our restroom trailers throughout New England, Tri-state area, & Florida. Between all of us, we'd put a list together of restaurants local and across state lines. When it was time for our double dates, we'd pick from this list of places to eat. We'd spend the night conversing about how great the food and service is and discuss how fun it would be to open a food truck or restaurant of our own one day.

While eating at one of our favorite restaurants, Mil Sabores, the owners approached us with an opportunity too good to pass up! It was this night, we decided to take the leap and began to plan the start of our new local takeout restaurant! We got together, brainstormed, and started to throw ideas at the board. A few names were tossed around from Phodega to Our Friend's Kitchen, from TGL Kitchen to a few others but after much consideration, we decided Lao Cocina was the one!

After a few cooking and tasting sessions to create our menu, we cooked up what you see, smell, and taste here today, a beautiful blend of Asian & Spanish cuisine. We're super excited to share our love for food and for you all to experience the flavors of two cultures in every bite!
